My little one sat on Santa’s lap for the picture. I remember looking at the picture afterward. The Santa looked stressed out. His grimace sat un-Santa-like on his bearded face. Maybe Santa had been having a long day. Why did we have the Santa picture? Tradition. I hadn’t thought about how to respond to the tradition of Santa in my own head.
Without taking time to reflect and move toward self-awareness, everyone goes into autopilot. What’s the best way to get out of autopilot? Take time to ask yourself bigger questions.
