Making Over My Evenings: Day 1

I completed my Day 1 of Make Over Your Evenings. Read a little about it here.

The challenge for today was to figure out my Why. I wrote out my answer and put it on my phone. Every time I looked at my lock screen, I would see it. (Pictured on the right)

Apparently, I look at my phone frequently. (Mostly to check the time. Am I the only one who uses the phone as a watch?) Because I did, I can hear my Why in my thoughts. As I write this at 10:30pm, I am getting ready to close up shop for the night.

I’m tired of feeling tired.

I am so tired of feeling tired. So, for tonight, I am going to bed at a more reasonable hour. “Everything” isn’t done. The earth will continue to spin with all that “everything” undone. And it will be okay.

Why? Because I am going to feel less tired tomorrow. That, in itself, is a reward. One night will not fix all the poor choices of previous nights. But it will be one night in the right direction.

I look forward to diving in to Day 2.
