Good Friday Alive

The word for today is alive.

Good Friday Alive

Good Friday Alive

Go.

Good Friday is a celebration of a day of great pain and suffering for Jesus.

Why do we we call it good?

It was beating and nailing and separation from the Father for Jesus.

Hardly what I call good.

But the suffering Jesus endured on the cross for me, for all of us, gave us the opportunity to be alive. Fully alive in him.

When I remember the cross, I remember God's great love for me. That I am no longer a prisoner of sin and death. That my future hope for heaven is secure. I am alive forever because of that day so long ago.

A day planned at the beginning of time. When the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit looked from eternity past and eternity future and planned the cross. They planned my day too.

They knew I would be and you would be. They planned a rescue for each of us.

If we choose to accept the offer.

It's an offer of life and love. An offer to be and become alive.

Stop.

Are you alive in Christ?

Hello Cheryl – I enjoyed reading your fmf post. I particularly liked your reminder that our salvation, our destiny, our eternal future was planned even before we were born.Praise God for Jesus who perfectly executed that plan on Good Friday, so we can enjoy a Good Sunday to Saturday from here on. What a wonderfully loving and gracious God we serve! Talk about forward planning! 😃

God is the perfect forward planner. If there is a model of one who knows who he is and what he is about, that is God.
Because he doesn’t sway, we can depend on him.
