Five Minute Friday: Limit

The word for today is limit.

Limit

Go.

The speed limit.

For a limited time only.

Constraints. Restraints. It sounds so restricting.

I feel it closing in.

I want to be free. Like a road with no signs.

No limits.

Freedom.

But I know those limits are not bad in themselves. The limits for the road are safety. Not just for me but for others too–that is, if we follow the law.

I dream of limitless energy, but reality tells me–shouts at me–rest. My body and mind have a limit. They cannot keep going. When I do accept my limitations and rest, really rest, I find something new.

Restoration. Deepening. A aenewing to move forward.

The soul is made for eternity. When there will be no limit to time. When we will be free to be unlimited in our worship. Unlimited in our ability to enjoy God and His beauty.

Stop.

Beautiful! I love how you weaved your words together. They brought the image alive. Isn’t it wonderful that when we reach Eternity we will have no limits. Our hearts will be filled so much joy and love. We just have to wait until then.
    Thanks for sharing!

I don’t know about you, Cheryl, but I for one cannot wait until the day I can see Jesus face-to-face and worship Him forever. Be blessed.

Unrestrained and free worship. Face-to-face. That will be an awesome day for sure!
