Five Minute Friday: First

The word for today is first.

First is such an important word.

We are to seek his kingdom first.

But then, the first will be last.

What we choose to do first will determine what comes next.

Oh, the choices, the values, the weight of the word.

First born. Doesn't he get all the testing and, sorry to say, experimentation of new parenting?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

First draft.

First place.

First is driving me crazy.

Slowing back down. Back to seeking his kingdom first. That will put it all in place. I can seek his kingdom first and put myself back in the line because life will be right in that order. Putting his kingdom first will help me choose to order my day, and what comes next. The value is the kingdom. The weight is on his shoulders. The first born and test doesn't have to be as much of a struggle because with God there is grace and wisdom. The try, try again is given courage. The first draft is given purpose. The first place is given humility. The first is given peace. In him. And in his kingdom.

How can you relate?

I let my thoughts travel through the world of “first” but landed on his kingdom and found it all came together.

I’m your FMF neighbor this week. 🙂 I smiled as I read as our thought trails had some great similarities. My post did not turn out the way my head tracked, but God’s plan for our writing is not always our “first” thought.

And I totally agree. His kingdom first puts everything else in order! Great post this week.

Thank you for your encouragement. As I read your post, I was reminded of how life isn’t always laid out as we might expect. But if God is leading the way, it will work itself out.
