Five Minute Friday: Encouragement

My CAKE writers are back joining me with their five minutes of writing.

Encouragement

Encouragement

To encourage

To give courage

To strengthen

So that one has the inner will to go on

To do his best

To believe he can succeed

Or her

I want to be an encourager to my husband and my children

But I often fail to give the words and support

That is not who I will choose to be

I will choose the words that encourage

Because, I do believe

They each have what it takes to succeed

They are amazing people

Each in their own ways

When I think of the ways they soar…

In ways so differently than I, I am awestruck

But, I will choose to not keep those words to myself

And not to write it alone

But say it to them

Because I know when I hear words of encouragement

When I am offered help to move towards a dream

I am encouraged

This is what I want for them

Encouragement

Words. Support.

They need it.

I needed it.

I know we will all be better for it.

Encouragement.

Encouragement

By BunBun (11)

I used to get angry at every little thing.

But this Wednesday I went to youth group (At Radius Church) and learned how to pray right.

I learned to pray to God like He was a king, not nothing.

Since then I’ve been living like I was ecouraged by the Creator of the Universe to live life better.

Because I was.

And I’ve been better at handling everything.

I pray more

Sing more

Praise him more

And even

Be with Him more

Because I’ve been encouaged

All thanks to learning how to pray right

By going to a youth group.

Be encouraged by seeking out and talking to God

Every day.

Yes, thats a challenge.

Try it.

It will change your life

Forever.

What is Five Minute Friday?

It is a 5-minute writing party. Click the icon to read some other great writing.

Five Minute Friday

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.

2. Link back here and invite others to join in.

3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community.

it is easier to encourage when i look for the amazing… for that image of God… in the people around me.

Seeing the image of God in the people around me. Good words. It takes focus.
