Book Review — The Deposit Slip by Todd M. Johnson

I loved reading this book. The plot was interesting–a deposit slip for over $10 million was found in Erin Larson’s recently deceased father’s safe-deposit box. The bank denied the deposit slip’s validity. Lawyer, Jared Neaton was Erin’s last hope to discover, and prove, the truth. While the pace was slow at first, it increased to an intense crescendo at the end. I like to figure out what will happen. This book gave hints for some things but had surprises too.

I don’t have a background in law, so I cannot comment on the realistic nature of how a trial works. I did find it interesting the entire time. The details let my imagination view scene after scene. When I had to put it down, I looked forward to getting back to watch another episode.

This is Todd M. Johnson’s debut. I look forward to reading more. I am glad I read The Deposit Slip.

Note: I was given a free copy of this book to review from Bethany House Publishers. My opinion is my own. Unlike a biased view of my kids (the best in the world), the review is my honest thoughts and reflections.
